EFCO Corporation claims last vacant industrial space in West Memphis

The last vacant industrial space in West Memphis is vacant no more now that EFCO Corporation is coming to town.

The Des Moines, Iowa-based EFCO announced today that it plans to open a re-fabrication manufacturing facility in what is known as the old Superior Building at the end of South Avalon. The building was vacated last year.

The EFCO facility will primarily serve the south central region of the United States, providing standard and custom-built formwork and shoring for concrete construction work.

EFCO Corporation is a provider of engineered formwork and shoring solutions to concrete construction clients worldwide. EFCOai??i??s services include rental and sales of standard and custom shoring and formwork systems, engineering design services, and support for all phases of the concrete construction project.

EFCO has supplied projects ranging from the World Trade Center Freedom Tower in New York and City Center in Las Vegas to the Indianapolis Colts Stadium and the University of Alabama Football Stadium Expansion. EFCOai??i??s products and engineering solutions help build bridges, power plants, commercial high-rise buildings, water treatment facilities, parking garages and stadiums.

With EFCOai??i??s move into the city, West Memphis has a 0 percent vacancy rate for industrial space, compared to 14 percent vacancy in Memphis and North Mississippi.

EFCO Corporationai??i??s re-fabrication process includes welding, cutting, painting, repairing, assembly and other processes related to its products. In addition to emptying the vacancy list, EFCOai??i??s move into West Memphis will burnish the cityai??i??s reputation even further, said Economic Development Director Ward Wimbish.
